Information report on Food Pyramid

 

Task Description:

In this task I worked with Vake on an information report on food pyramids. A food pyramid has fruits and vegetables and it is an everyday thing to eat. Eat healthy so that you can grow healthy and be strong.

Task Description:

In cybersmart our task was to do a digital footprint. We needed to check our history and see what we have been doing on our chromebooks by pressing ctrl h. 

Integrity and Respect

Task Description:

I watched 3 videos and it had taught me to do integrity and be respectful. Integrity is currently our school's focus for this week and I am learning to show it every time.

Task Description:

In this task I created a screencastify on a food pyramid. A food pyramid has different kinds of foods. I learnt a lot from this screencastify. Here is my screencastify of myself explaining what I think this is.

Hikoi to Tahuna Torea

Task Description:

In this task I wrote about our hikoi to Tahuna Torea. It was a fun trip we had and we had to walk for a long time. My friends and I had fun at the beach and have lots of memories to save.

Matariki Activities Slides

Task Description:

This task is about Matariki as you know that Matariki will be coming up soon. I have learnt a lot about Matariki from the videos that are on the slides. I worked with my buddy, Syntyche and we thought of ideas together. 

My If Only poem

Task Description:

In this task we watched a video of Rudyard Kipling saying a If poem that his father told him since he was a little boy. The poem was very heartwarming as you listen to the video. So today I have created my own if poem.

Sina & the Eel

Task Description:

In this task I watched a video of Sina and the eel. It was funny while watching it because Sina rejected King Tuifiti which was the eel. Here is the link to the video to watch it

Summary about Rudyard Kipling's poem IF

Task Description:

In this task I had done a summary about Rudyard Kipling's poem 'If'. I worked with a buddy and we had different ideas. I listened to a video about the poem and it was an important poem that his dad told him. It was heartwarming for me.

Matariki Digital Tasks

 

Task Description:

Today I did a digital task in cybersmart learning. I did a words cloud task. In the task we had to add some words about all the Te Reo words I have learnt from this unit about Matariki. I learnt the names of the seven sisters. Click here to create your own Words Clouds

Task Description:

In Te Reo learning we had done a screencastify of us saying our pepeha and mihi. Vake and I worked together on saying it. I hope that you learn how to say your pepeha/mihi.

Kiwi kids news

Task Description:

For this task I had done a quiz about kiwi kids news. There were questions I didn't understand but managed to finish. There was 10 questions and I only got one wrong.

 

Reflection of Life Education

Task Description:

In this task I have reflected our lessons in life education. I have learnt a lot from the life education and I enjoyed going.

Creating Atmosphere/Mood in writing

Task Description:

In this task we had to choose an emotion or mood and to pick our places and more information. I chose happiness and the color yellow.

Writing about the Rat and the Octopus

Task Description:

In this task we watched a video on coconet and the video was about a rat and an octopus from Tonga. We watched the video and after we finished watching it we had to fill the boxes and write some information that was in the video.

Easy or Harder Subtractions

Task Description:

In this maths task I solved a problem by using place value. The second one was hard but I explained why it was hard.

Directions Kemu

Task Description:

In this task I made a screencastify with Nadal. Room 5 is learning to know and use directions using Te Reo Maori. Nadal and I learnt new words in Te Reo Maori, do you know some words that are in the slides?

Show Not Tell

 

Task Description:

Today's task was to learn about show not tell in our writing. I have learnt to show instead of telling a specific sentence. I worked together with Khin Lin and finished together. I hope that you enjoy our work.

Text Analysis - About Frozen Trailer and Bulibasha

Task Description:

The task for today was text analysis. In the task we had to insert a photo of what we watched. One of them was 'scary frozen trailer' then there was the normal frozen trailer. The last one was Bulibasha by Witi Ihimaera. I wrote some moods that was in the video and wrote down what made me think of the mood. In the last box I used similies.

Solving more maths problems

Task Description:

This task is about maths and in this task we had to solve maths problems and explain how I worked it out. In the maths problems I used place value, I couldn't find any more ways to solve the problem but to use place value.
