Reading Task: The Printing Press

 

Task explanation:

Today's reading task was about printing press and we had to do it on study ladder. It was easy but I still got some incorrect. This took a little long because I had to read and answer questions then go back and check for the answer.

Writing Task: Should Plastic Bags be Banned?

 

Task explanation:

Today I did the writing task and it was about plastic bags being banned. I got 8 out of 10 correct. Plastic bags are causing marine animals to die and maybe some other animals. So, we should stop littering and pick up rubbish even if it's not yours.

Maths Task: Why we need Money

Task explanation:

This task was about money and reasons why we need it. We need money to pay bills and to buy food for your family or yourselves. I got all questions correct.

 

Lockdown 2021 Memory Book

Task explanation:

Today I did the creative task on our class site which was the memory book. This took the whole block and I'm proud that I finished it on time and today.

Maths Task: Family Expenses

 

Task explanation:

Today's math task was about family expenses. I had to figure out how much a family spent money on each month. I'm glad I finished this quick and I answered all of them correctly!

Hello! Welcome to my blog and my name is Uheina as you know, and this task is my writing task. It was about writing one of my happiest memories and mine is friendship, I'm not sure if it's similar to the topic on writing but I've spent a lot of time working on this. But I wrote this as a poem.

Today's task was about J.K Rowling, biography. I did on study ladder and got 4 incorrect out of 10. Sometimes I mis-clicked some answers. But I'm still proud of my score.

Task explanation:

This week's cybersmart challenge is about researching and writing it down in your own words. Today I had to help John with researching about Kiwis and finding out what they eat.

Task explanation:

Today I also completed my 8 timestables and there were no mistakes! It was hard doing my 8 timestables because I get mixed up with my 7 timestables but I'm glad I managed to shake the negativity off and finish it.

Task explanation:

Today I did my 7 timestables and made no mistakes in any of the answers. I am feeling that I'm starting to be strong and learn my timestables by heart.

5&6 Times tables

 

Task explanation:

Today I did my 6&5 timestables and completed both of them! I had no mistakes in any of them, I'm starting to learn my timestables very quickly and I know them by heart.

Math Task: Eating fractions of pie, pizza and cake

 

Task explanation:

Yesterday's math task is about adding and subtracting fractions. I was supposed to blog this yesterday but I didn't. In this task I needed to answer these questions with our own answers.

Cybersmart Challenge: Search it up

Task explanation:

Today's cybersmart challenge was about searching up and learning how to search up information better.

3 & 4 Timestables

 

Task explanation:

Today I did my 3&4 timestables but I failed on my 3 timestables but I succeeded on my 4 timestables, I only got 2 incorrect answers because I was rushing to beat the timer.

Fractions of cake

 

Task explanation:

Today's first math task is about adding and subtracting fractions. I was guessing the answers but I was sure about some answers. But I enjoyed this math task.

Task explanation:

Today's concept circle word is creativity ! I finished this in a short time because ideas kept popping up in my head. If you would like to do creative stuff, check out our class site (room 5) and there are some creativity tasks that you can do when you're bored.

Task explanation:

Today our word study had changed and I completed it. Took a while to finish because I was thinking of sentences for the words.

Task explanation:

Today's writing task was about a boy riding a bike. He rode the length of north island to raise money for St Johns.

Task explanation:

Today I did my 6 timestables and got all answers correct ! It took me a while to complete because there were lots of questions to fill in. Tomorrow I will be doing my 4 & 3 timestables.

Today I did my 12 timestables and finished it all with no mistakes.

Task explanation:

Today's task was to create a doc/slide or a google draw to put our answers in it. I worked with Vake on this task so that we could help each other out. This task was about thermometers and things that it can be used for.

For this task I had to fill in the blank boxes. I got 9/10 because I forgot to fill in the boxes in between the other boxes. But it took really long to finish it so I didn't restart it.

Hi everyone this week's task for word work is to add 3 other words with the word celebration to make 3 sentences that have all of the 4 words in those sentences.

Task explanation:

In our literacy daily 5 tasks this was our word work activity and we had to figure out the meanings of each word and add synonyms onto it then have sentences that has the word in it.

Task explanation:

In this LCS task I needed to discuss these words from the 'Tu Meke Tuatara' book. The words are grouchy, sorrow, blue, glum. I was confused on blue because there was different meanings to it. One is blue as feeling sad or meaning of its color.

This task I needed to discuss the phrase "A little kindness goes a long way" with a buddy or my family. Since we are in lockdown I decided to discuss this with my family. I chose my older sister and we discussed this together. We thought that if have kindness together we can share it around and it will grow, just like the video that I watched yesterday. Today I did another ToiToi reading task, I have 2 more books to read. This book was 'When the Queen took over KFC'. I enjoyed this book because the queen is different because she wanted to see the normal version of KFC. Today I finished another ToiToi reading task and the story was Footprints in the Sand. I enjoyed completing this task since it was short. We just needed to fill in the blank areas and fill it in with our information from the story. I've seen this story and Nadal read it so, I decided to read it too.

Task explanation:

Today I did another Jigsaw puzzle but it was a Tui. It only took me 18 minutes and I am happy that it was shorter than my other jigsaw puzzle.

Task explanation:

Today this task was to complete it and reply to comments on our blog. The three things we needed to include in our comments is a thank you, an answer and a question. Today Mokoia commented on my blog on the concept circle which was a perfect timing because I needed to reply to a comment to complete this task.

Task explanation:

We needed to read another article about Waikato University to offer Bachelor of Climate Change. Then after we read it we needed to create question. In our reading we are learning to ask and answer critical quesitons when reading texts and discussing ideas.

I did the concept circle on our reading slides and we needed add 3 more words and then make 3 sentences with all of the 4 words in those sentences. We had to make each sentence different from each other.

Today our literacy tasks was to do this word study and a concept circle. I worked on the word study first because it would short to work on. 

Brainstorm Lockdown

Task explanation:

For writing we need to write a recount about our lockdown since school is almost over and this is our last week of term 3. This is my brainstorm of my lockdown, it's simple and boring in my lockdown since we don't go to school.

Critical Questions

Task explanation:

Today in our reading we had to read an article about people thinking to change New Zealand's name. There were a few comments saying that it was great to change the name because it has been New Zealand for too long and other people say that we should keep it like New Zealand. In my opinion I think that we shouldn't change it's name, well it depends on what name it is. But I think that we shouldn't change NZ's name.
